We’re about half way through my children’s summer holidays, and have already visited the seaside more times than I can count! I can’t think of anything better than packing up the car with some treats, and heading down to the coast.
Come rain or shine, you’ll find us in our wellies or our swimmers! The children always have massive smiles on their faces, as we spend time crabbing, picnicking and paddling.
Our most recent trip was to Bosham for breakfast, where we took my Blustery Banana Bread (recipe found in ‘Bake Me A Cake As Fast As You Can’) and a flask of tea and enjoyed a nice wake-up walk along the sea wall. My youngest also loves to cook eggs and beans, pack it up in a tupperware and tuck-in while watching the boats in the harbour!
We haven’t let the changeable weather stop us either, and instead spent a great afternoon crabbing in the rain last week! They were so focused on the little crabs, they completely forgot about the rain!
Very much looking forward to our next trip already, I may even head down for supper this evening with the troops!
